A man's rights upon marriage
Usually, most men choose to retain their surname upon marriage. However you might wish to double-barrel your two surnames, make your wife's surname into a joint middle name, 'mesh' your surnames to form a new surname – or even take your wife's surname.
Not all surname changes require a Deed Poll, but some do. The remainder of this guide explains the various options open to you.
