1. When do you need to get a Deed Poll legalised?
You only need to get your Deed Poll legalised if you are asked to do so by a foreign country (or their foreign embassy in the UK).
For example if you are getting married abroad, you will need to get it legalised.
Or if you are a foreign national living in the UK and you want your foreign passport reissued in your new name, you may need to produce a legalised Deed Poll as proof of the name change.
